Palladian EAP Trainings are delivered in a lecture format and are designed for a minimum number of participants and generally last (1) hour.* They are proactive, educational and demonstrate the correlation between workplace performance, behavioral health, wellness and/or EAP issues. EAP trainings often supplement a more comprehensive training program offered by an employer; however, your EAP is available to work with you to customize EAP trainings to meet your organizations specific needs. EAP benefit enchantment services are activities that do not deduct from available training hours but are free services that help to ensure the effectiveness and value of the EAP benefit.

EAP Training Topics

  • NEW 2017 Harassment prevention, policy review and awareness – Palladian EAP will work closely with your HR department to ensure your annual training on this critical topic communicates your policy effectively and will be the presenter of the information directly to your employees. This training will cover key terms, definitions, and legal frameworks and additionally will discuss contributing factors, prevention strategies, and overall awareness of policies and procedures.
  • Civility and Courtesy in the Workplace – As work demands increase, it is often very easy for employees to develop a pattern of communication that is not professional. This training will allow employees to take the time to understand that there is value in paying attention to what they say and how they say it. Participants will be encourage to overlook difference in communication style and instead speak and act towards each other in a way that is respectful and polite. Participants will learn that being civil at work can enhance effective communication, build team collaboration and have a positive impact on customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying the Impaired Employee – This training is coordinated with your Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace policies to provide members of your organization with the skills, knowledge and ability to recognize and take appropriate action when encountering the suspected substance abuser in the workplace. This training requires a minimum of 4 contractual training hours which will include development and presentation.
  • Workplace Violence Recovery – This is both a pre-incident opportunity and a post-incident intervention. We encourage employers to work with the EAP to educate their employees about what actions to take if a violent event were to take place at work, and what can be expected as a response from those involved. Post an incident, the EAP will recommend a plan of action that can include things such as debriefings, defusing, grief support and individual services for impacted employees.
  • Communication Skills for Professionals – Are your employees struggling with their relationships with each other? Is saying the right thing happening less, not more? This training will provide attendees with the skills to improving their communication techniques; improve their listening skills, and using words to build stronger relationships. This is the must have training for the workplace.
  • Anger Management – What is anger, why do we have it, what are the workplace consequences? Is your workplace an angry place? Would you like it to be more peaceful? This training will help you and your employees improve their skills in identifying and reducing their anger, improving their relaxation skills, and reduce their need to rely on anger as a communication method at work.
  • Conflict Management – This training is provided as a continuation of our anger management training. Employees will improve their skills at resolving conflicts by improving problem identification, applying assertiveness vs. aggression and using communication skills as the primary skill set to reduce and resolve conflicts in the workplace.
  • Customer Service Training – This training is designed to address improving customer service well beyond the traditional application of retail and call centers. Knowing that everyone in your workplace is a customer and that meeting their needs will immediately improve your workplace, makes this training a proven way to make a difference in how people work for and with each other.
  • New Supervisor Transition – This training is designed to address the needs of those employees who are transitioning into, or looking to evaluate and improve their supervisory skill set. This training will include a Supervisory Skills Self-Assessment to help new supervisors evaluate their current skill set and identify those needs that require ongoing attention.
  • Stress Management – Employees begin the journey of exploring stress by looking back in time to understand where stress comes from, why we experience it and what it really does to our minds and bodies. From there they will learn some effective techniques that help them identify when they are experiencing stress, and take steps to have a more stress free life.
  • Responding to grief and unexpected events in the workplace – This training equips managers with the skills necessary to lead their employees though events which are normal but disruptive to the workplace. Managers will have more confidence on how to respond and the most up to date information about what are normal reactions and how to ensure employees receive the support that they need.
